Alexandre Eudier is a French visual artist whose work explores the shifting boundaries between categories: between truth and fiction, art and craft, human and machine.

His practice blurs these lines through fictional personas, delegated or collaborative works, and the hybridization of cultural forms and symbols. From installations to photography, drawings to crafted objects, his pieces suggest the chimerical aesthetics of a world shaped by globalization and systemic contradiction.

Eudier’s projects have taken place across Africa, Asia, and Europe, often as part of long-term residencies and institutional commissions. His work draws from field-based collaborations, engaging with specific communities and local contexts while questioning the structural hierarchies embedded in artistic and social systems. He deliberately confronts the categories that organize reality — those that define legitimacy, authorship, and cultural authority — and exposes their instability in a world of accelerated transformation.

In recent projects, he has turned toward the emerging frontier between human and machine. By probing the aesthetic implications of generative AI and its ability to mimic, recycle and dilute cultural heritage, Eudier raises new questions around authorship, authenticity, and the erasure of meaning.
His visual universe welcomes ambiguity, irony, and dystopian poetry — proposing not answers, but ruptures.
